Website Updates:
Booking Requests - Detailed Error Messages:
Where a booking request contains dates that are not available, detailed error messages have been introduced so that a user knows why the dates aren't available to book.
Unavailable trip dates will shown under the below categories:
-
The passenger is already booked
-
The passenger is already in a booking request: a booking request for the passenger has been made via the website or app and the 15 minute reservation has not yet been confirmed or cancelled
-
The boarding or disembarking waypoints are inapplicable: the requested boarding or disembarking waypoint is not available for the selected trip dates; this may have been removed during a trip schedule edit
-
There is no capacity available: the vehicle capacity, configured when an operator was added to the trip, has been met
The same detailed error messages will be shown where the minimum purchase quantity, configured in settings, has not been satisfied:
Passengers and Observers - Active Journey:
Passengers and observers can now view active journeys within the Kura site, to see live vehicle position and actual boarding and disembarking locations and times.
Selecting the required trip from the schedule calendar opens a modal that displays the route name, expected boarding and disembarking stops and associated times, with a VIEW JOURNEY button.
When the VIEW JOURNEY button is selected, this opens a modal that shows the route name, scheduled boarding and disembarking stops and expected times.
When a passenger boards the vehicle, actual boarding location and time is populated. When a passenger disembarks the vehicle, actual disembarking location and time is populated. If a passenger boards or disembarks the vehicle outside of a geo-fence, en route will be shown for location.
The last updated time is shown so that observers or passengers can see when the last update was received from the driver device.
At the bottom of the modal a map is shown with scheduled stops. Any stops that will not be visited are removed when these are indicated by the driver at the start of the journey.
The passenger scheduled boarding stop is shown in pink and the scheduled disembarking stop is shown in blue.
A green target icon indicates the last vehicle location received from the driver device.
When a passenger boards the vehicle a pink marker is displayed on the map to show actual location.
When a passenger disembarks the vehicle a blue marker is displayed on the map to show actual location.
The map can be zoomed to full screen view by selecting the icon at the top right of the map.
Passengers and Observers - Future Journey:
When passengers or observers select a future trip from the schedule calendar, and select the VIEW JOURNEY button, this will open a modal that shows the route name, scheduled boarding and disembarking stops and expected times.
The map will show all scheduled stops, with the passenger's scheduled boarding stop shown in pink and the scheduled disembarking stop shown in blue.
As the journey has not been started no last updated times will be shown.
Passengers and Observers - Past Journey:
When passengers or observers select a past trip from the schedule calendar, and select the VIEW JOURNEY button, this will open a modal that shows the route name, scheduled boarding and disembarking stops and expected times.
If the passenger boarded the vehicle, the actual boarding and disembarking locations and times are shown. The actual location is also displayed on the map, with a pink marker showing the boarding location and a blue marker showing the disembarking location.
The last updated time will show how long ago the last update was received from the driver device.
