There have been no update to the app in the past two weeks.
Website Updates:
Archive Route:
You are now able to archive route that is no longer in use or required. Archiving a route will:
-
Set the route’s status to archived, which will require setting the Routes search page ‘status’ filter to view this and any other archived routes.
- Remove all future trip dates, with the exception of any trip scheduled today that has already received journey events
-
Remove all passengers from future trips for this route.
-
All past trips will remain the same so that journey data can be viewed or the route can be copied
-
The route's bookable by status will be set to 'none' so this will not display to observers or passengers to book in their app.
- As all future trip dates are removed from the route schedule no notifications, or alarms for managed organisations, will be triggered.
To archive a route select Routes from the navigation menu. Select the cog on the required route card to open the route settings modal.
Once this has been selected a confirmation screen will be opened where you are required to enter the exact route name to proceed. Entity name entries auto-capitalise and the submit button will only display when there is an exact match, including required spacing.
Once you have entered an exact entity name match you can submit the request and will see a confirmation message appear in the modal.
Any passengers removed from future scheduled trips will be shown in the Legacy Bookings Summary table:
Routes - Filter:
A filter panel has been added to the Routes screen, that allows you to select to view active and archived routes.
- All: All routes for the organisation
- Archived: Archived routes for the organisation
- Active: Active routes for the organisation. By default the view will show active routes.
You can select the toggle filter panel icon, next to the search bar, to open the filter panel. Once a filter has been applied a count will display next to the toggle filter panel icon, so that is clear that a filter is applied if the panel is minimised. You can clear the filter by selecting the clear all icon at the top right of the panel or by refreshing the screen.
Searches will return results within the applied filter, for example an archived route will be returned in search results when 'all' or 'archived' are selected in the filter but not when 'active' is selected as the filter.
Unarchive Route:
If you would like to unarchive a route, as it will be used for future trips, you can do this in two ways. If the stops are the same you can go to the route calendar, select the trip with the waypoints required and copy.
You can then select to Copy Within Route to add trips to the route:
This will open the route builder with the existing route name retained. You can select the required schedule, recurrence, days of the week required and add any exclusion dates. The operator section will display the previously assigned operator and this can be removed, edited or changed if required. The routepoints section will display all routepoints that exist in the trip that is being copied and timings/geo-fence size, zones can be edited, existing routepoints can be re-ordered or removed or new routepoints can be added.
When you select create the trips will be added to the schedule and the route will become active and show in the active view in Routes.
Alternatively, if the waypoints used in the route will differ from prior trips, you can select Unarchive on the route card.
This will open a new trip schedule builder where you can select the required schedule, recurrence, days of the week required and add any exclusion dates. Add the operator section if this is known at the time of creation. In the routepoints section you can add the required routepoints and configure timings, geo-fence size and zones if applicable.
When you select create the trips will be added to the schedule and the route will become active and show in the active view in Routes.
Primary and Secondary Vehicle Assignment:
The primary and secondary vehicle assignments have been removed from the Operators section in the below areas, to allow the archiving of vehicles no longer in use:
- New Route creation - Routes->New Route button
- Copy to create a new route - accessed by selecting the calendar button on an existing route card, selecting a date within the calendar and then the Copy button
- Copying within route - accessed by selecting the calendar button on an existing route card, selecting a date within the calendar and then the Copy button
- Operators - accessed via the Operator button on a route card
As vehicles are no longer assigned in advance of a trip, primary and secondary vehicles are also not shown in Trip Operator details (accessed via accessed by selecting the calendar button on an existing route card, selecting a date within the calendar and View Trip).
Archive Vehicles:
You are now able to archive any vehicles that are no longer in use. Once a vehicle is archived this won't be displayed to the driver to select at the start of a journey in their app.
To archive a vehicle select Vehicles from the navigation menu. Select the cog on the required vehicle card, to open the vehicle detail modal. If you select the Edit Vehicle button this opens the Edit vehicle modal where you will see a button to select to archive the vehicle:
Once this has been selected a confirmation screen will be opened where you are required to enter the exact vehicle registration number to proceed. Entity name entries auto-capitalise and the submit button will only display when there is an exact match, including required spacing.
Once you have entered an exact entity name match you can submit the request and will see a confirmation message appear in the modal.
If you close this modal and refresh the screen, the vehicle will not be shown in the active vehicle view.
Vehicles - Filter:
A filter panel has been added to the Vehicles screen, that allows you to select to view active and archived vehicles.
- All: All vehicles for the organisation
- Archived: Archived vehicles for the organisation
- Active: Active vehicles for the organisation. By default the view will show active vehicles.
Searches will return results within the applied filter, for example, an archived vehicle will be returned in search results when 'all' or 'archived' are selected in the filter but not when 'active' is selected in the filter.
Unarchive Vehicles:
If a vehicle has been brought back in to service or was archived in error, this can be unarchived.
To unarchive a vehicle, select the filter on the Vehicles screen and select 'Archived' to view archived vehicles. Select the cog on the required vehicle card to open the vehicle detail modal and select the unarchive button.
Once this has been selected a confirmation screen will be opened where you are required to enter the exact vehicle registration number to proceed. Entity name entries auto-capitalise and the submit button will only display when there is an exact match, including required spacing.
Once submitted a confirmation message will be displayed and, following a refresh of the Vehicles screen, the vehicle will show in the active view. The vehicle will also be available to select in the driver app.
Bulk Maintenance - Automatically Remove White Spaces:
The legacy and download format append and replace imports have been improved, so that any spaces before or after external IDs and/or email addresses are ignored and removed on import; to avoid duplicate profiles being created where external ID or email address were not matched due to additional white spaces contained in an import file.
