- The app versions remain the same:
iOS: Native: 1.7.0, JS: 1.7.1-101019
Android: Native: 1.6.0, JS: 1.7.1-101019
System Received Time:
The app has been updated to send system received time, to allow this to be displayed in the Journey screen (please see below in website updates).
You will see a new card on the Organisation homepages called Reporting
You will see that this is labelled as an Early Access feature. This is experimental and has been released to gather feedback and to better understand load with large trip volume, so this may not always function as expected. We are aware that play will stop with over 1500 events, that the events are held when moving between organisations and that the line option is not showing the route correctly. These will be addressed in future.
You will see a map with a play bar.
You can select the date and time from the bottom right of the screen.
You can play 3 hours’ worth of journey events for the organisation, from the time selected forward e.g. selecting 8am will play events from 8am to 11am, by selecting the play icon at the bottom left of the screen.
You can select to stop the events being played by selecting stop. Once a 3 hour window has been played this will loop back to the start and play again.
You can select a slider for 'Line' and this will represent the route on the map, according to speed categories:
- Red= ~0
- Amber= <10mph
- Yellow= 11-30mph
- Green= >30mph
You can select a 'Bar' slider that represents the route on the map, with bar height representing the speed of the vehicle.
You can select a slider for 'Icon' to show a vehicle icon move along the route.
If you hover over the line or bars, you will see a pop-up showing the trip name and journey location update and vehicle speed for that location.
You can select the arrow icons (located under the zoom icons) to change the pitch angle of the map.
The aim of this feature is to allow routes to be easily reviewed, to identify areas where there are delays that impact timings, which may indicate that adjustments need to be made to route point timings.
Select my own Organisation as Supplier:
Organisations can now select their own organisation as the supplier for trips. This will allow self-serve customers, or customers that have their own drivers and vehicles, to hold all information under their organisation.
Journey Screen - Alarm and Notification in Auth Group:
Sending alarms or notifications via the Journey screen have been added to Auth Groups, so that permissions for these can be restricted if required. Creating a manual alarm has been restricted to Kura Controllers. Notification permissions have been given to all users that have permission to view the journey screen.
Journey Screen - System Received Time:
This item requires a OTA software update, which will be applied when the app next restarts
You will see a new column in the journey screen called: Received Time
This displays the time that an event was posted by the system, so that you can see if there is a difference where a device has been out of signal.
An export function has been added to the Bookings table.
You can select completed weeks to export, previous Monday to Sunday, using the calendar. Current week you can export after the week has completed e.g. w/c 10th February can be exported from 17th February. This will export all booking or removal events made within that week.
If you select a download icon the export will be download so that it can be opened or saved.
The excel file will be pipe delimited (|). To delimit the file:
- Select column A
- Select Data
- Select Text to Columns
- Select Delimited
- Select Next
- Select Other and enter a pipe in the box (|)
- Select Finish
An example of the pivot table that can be created with the data is below:
- Select the data (all populated columns and rows)
- Select Insert
- Select Pivot Table
- In the wizard window select OK
- Into the PivotTable fields drag Passenger Name and Action into Filters (this will allow the table to be filtered to individual passengers and either add or remove requests)
- Drag Trip Name into Columns
- Drag Months and Trip Date into Rows
- Drag Count of Action into Values
Removing Passengers from Trips:
When removing a passenger from a trip, via their schedule calendar, the trip schedule or via the app, the passenger would be removed from the trip but, on occasion, the trip would still show in their schedule calendar or linked observers’ app. Additional changes have been implemented to prevent this from occurring.
Neptune Version Update:
AWS implemented an automatic update to Neptune. Bugs resulting from this were resolved, however, the magic search function has been impacted. You are able to search for organisations but can no longer search for people. We are awaiting response from AWS to try and resolve the issue as this change cannot be rolled back.
Unable to select Passenger for Observers Notification via Journey Screen:
When you selected to send a notification to 'Observers' on the Journey screen, the drop-down to select the passenger wasn't populating any results. Passengers are now displaying so that you can select to send a notification to observer(s) of a specific passenger.
Trip Summary Search:
The search function on the Trip Summary screen has been improved.
Map Show Duplicate Orgs:
The map feature was retaining vehicle events where multi-organisation users were moving between organisations. This was hot fixed at the start of the sprint.
