After linking your account you will be prompted to download the Kura app as this is where you can make bookings, receive notifications, and track journeys all in one place. If mobile apps are not your preference or you have a complex schedule to secure, bookings can easily be made via the Kura portal. You can also add tokens here.
Once you have followed the linking process and have logged in to https://app.ridekura.com/ select home and you will be directed to the Welcome page detailing the passengers who are linked to your account.
Click on the passenger whose booking you wish to create or amend.

Please note trips are for one direction of travel so returns will need to be booked separately by selecting the AM and then the PM route.
You will now be taken to the booking screen and to select your route and stops via 2 options: Route Select and Address Search
Route select
If you already know the exact stop and route you require, you can use route select, immediately choosing the route and stop and selecting your boarding and disembarking waypoints. This will be the default option when you go to make a booking with today's date being the default as well.
Start by entering the date you wish for the booking to start from. You will then be able to select the route that you require from the drop down list.
Once you have selected your route, you can then select your required boarding and disembarking locations.
Once this has been selected, you will be able to select next to proceed to the Next page.
Address search.
If you are unsure of which stop and route would be the closest, you are now able to search this to find the closest suitable route.
Again, the default date is set as the current date, however, this can be changed to when you wish to start.
Address Search
A required starting point and destination can be entered to search for suitable routes. This can be searched by using:
- street address
- postcode
- organisation configured building name
- points of interest
The results will include suggestions with similar names, locations or configured buildings.
Once the start point (origin) and destination are entered, any routes with stop within a 5 mile radius of the the locations will be shown listed
Should there not be any routes and stops that are within the 5 minutes mile radius, a message will show to advise this:
All stops with the route can be viewed by selecting the route name. The origin and destination will be highlighted in pink (boarding point) and blue (disembarking point) to show show the stops location in relation to the search entered
Once you have selected the route and stop, you can then select the next button.
After you have selected the route route you wish to you, you are then able to 'select stops'
If you wish, you can select a different boarding and disembarking stop on the route by selecting the edit button for either the boarding or disembarking. This will then open the full list of stops which can be done by selecting the stop name on the list of the numbered marker on the map.
Once you have selected the stops, you will then be able to select 'next'
Once you have selected your route and stop using either method of the route and stop selection, you will be able to enter further information about your booking.
Select the required date range by selecting the end date of the booking. You then have 4 options on how you wish to place your booking.
Every Weekday: Should you require your booking to be made Monday to Friday every week
Every Weekend: Should you require your booking to be made Saturday and Sunday every week
Every day: Should your organisation run services from Monday to Sunday and you require your booking to be placed for this every week
Custom: Should you require to book on a selected amount of days for example such as Mondays and Wednesdays only, you are able to select this option by selecting the dates you require. You can also select this option should you not require to be booked on a weekly basis and instead need a different booking reoccurrence
Kura will automatically exclude dates when the organisation is closed, you just need to choose dates to exclude within your date range when the organisation is open. Click NEXT
You may be prompted to ask to confirm that you have read and understand the terms and conditions, you can view these terms and conditions as well by selecting the hyperlink.
You will be able to view your confirmation of your booking request details to review to ensure all details are correct. Please check to ensure all details are correct. if there are any dates which cannot be booked, this will be displayed on this page. Your booking will be held for 15 minutes.
If there are journies which cannot be booked, these dates and the reasons will then be listed as well.
If your organizations requires payment at the time of booking, you will see a further breakdown of the costs. Depending on your organisation, you may have the option to pay in full or split over instalments.
You will then be prompted to enter in your card details.
You will be able to select confirm to fully confirm the booking. A message will be displayed to confirm and you are able to then select to either view your schedule or make another booking.
